Aims and Values

West Heslerton School reflects Christian attitudes and values ensuring that all pupils become co-operative and responsible members of a moral and spiritual society. We encourage everyone to become self-motivated, independent people with the confidence to achieve their full social and academic potential. As part of a wider, caring community, working in partnership with families, the church, its parish and diocese, we provide opportunity and encouragement in a positive but disciplined way.

Church School Leadership

West Heslerton is guided by a group of Governors who ensure the aims and values of the school are central to school development. For further information about school governance and our current list of Governors, please click here.

West Heslerton is inspected by the diocese to ensure the Christian aims and values of the school are central to school development. To read our most recent church inspection report, please click here.

Churches Conservation Trust

We have a closed church (St. Andrew's at East Heslerton) within our catchment area and another just beyond our catchment boundary (St. Edmund's at Wintringham). We work closely with The Churches Conservation Trust and English Heritage to learn about their features and ensure these buildings are used, admired and preserved. We work as a whole school upon projects and offer a Church Explorers Club after school. Please click below to see the photos of our most recent club meeting.
